Making of: The Connectree
After 4 weeks of looking at a screen almost every day, it felt good to get outside and work with my hands.
Taking into account Simon's feedback, I went for an apres ski style Christmas tree. I went to several do it yourself stores to compare types of wood it. Finally I found a store where I could buy wood directly from the supplier, which was 5 times cheaper than similar wood at the Brico.
Yes it looks good, much better then the wooden prototype, very happy with the results. I made sure the foot could detach from the upper part for easy transportation. Fun fact: The dimensions of the tree are based on the maximum space I have in my car. Now we have to make place for the electronics.
